We currently have an opening for a Marketing Specialist supporting our Kroc Center's in the Eastern Territory.


    The Salvation Army Kroc Center redefines what a community center is all about – providing children and families with opportunities to discover and develop their passions and talents through an array of education, sports, faith, arts and supportive programs. These programs have been designed to stimulate the mind, body and spirit, to provide hope, and to transform the life of each and every member of the community.

    Reporting to the Territorial Kroc Operations Director, the Marketing Specialist will serve as a vital resource for the Kroc Centers within the territory by working with staff to develop an overall marketing strategy, strengthen and coordinate best practices for membership growth and retention and increasing annual net revenue. 



    The successful Marketing Specialist will:

    • Establish and consistently emphasize best practices associated with community center marketing in all communication with the various Kroc Centers.
    • Consistently monitor all Kroc Center websites and digital media to ensure presentation excellence with regard to programs, template consistency, brand integrity, and opportunities to support and encourage membership growth.
    • Commit to enacting best practices for training local Kroc Center membership and marketing staff and take an active interest in developing their individual skill sets.
    • Consistently evaluate each Kroc Center marketing tools from a membership, marketing and revenue perspective. 
    • Provide expert consultation on local, internet marketing proposals and / or seek appropriate web-based development opportunities that support Kroc Center membership growth.
    • Explore ways to reach various demographic groups with a view toward membership.
    • Focus on 3 main components of membership model growth through consistent and established marketing techniques (New Customer Acquisition, Customer Retention and Customer Upgrades)



    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related field strongly preferred, and minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, digital communication or related field.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and develop effective digital and integrated marketing strategies and campaigns.
    • Experience with Adobe’s Creative Suite and Photoshop.
    • Proficient use and knowledge of current digital marketing and social media tools
    • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with User Experience Design or Product Management a plus.
    • Solid analytical and strategic thinking skills
    • Demonstrated ability to provide knowledge and skills training in one-on-one and larger group situations.
    • Experience with HTML, CCS, WordPress, content management systems and Internet marketing software / systems.
    • Ability to work well under deadline pressure and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
    • Experience with paid Social Media 
    • Ability to travel on occasion
