    Location: Philadelphia Citadel Corps, 5830 Rising Sun Avenue
    Availability of Position: Immediate
    Schedule: Part Time; 29 Hours per week; Monday – Friday
    Reporting Relationship: Assistant Director/Director
    Salary and Grade: $13.00 per hour; 72 Non-Exempt

    Position Overview: The function of the Office/Date Entry Clerk includes greeting customers and staff, answering, screening and directing all calls, and taking messages.



    The function of the Office/Date Entry Clerk includes greeting customers and staff, answering, screening and directing all calls, and taking messages. This position provides data entry of all matters related to the Before & Afterschool Program. In addition, this position will be responsible for maintaining and updating the files and filing. This position will also process and record all BASP Applications. The receptionist will also work directly with Director and Assistant Director to provide support and handle any other duties as assigned.


    *High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of data entry experience.
    *Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred.
    *Good communication, administrative and organizational skills.
    *Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
    *Intermediate competency of computer software applications (Microsoft Word and Excel.)
    * Ability to use Lotus Notes (email) system.
    *Ability to work independently and with confidentiality.
    *Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
    *While an appreciation for, and understanding of, the philosophy and mission of The Salvation Army is required, being active Salvationist is a plus.
    *As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
