The Seasonal Advancement Assistant is a full-time seasonal position through February 28, 2019 assisting with volunteer and events management, communications and direct marketing.
The position encompasses a wide variety of tasks included in the setting up and running of successful volunteer experiences and events, assisting with data entry and database coordination, assisting with public relations, answering phones and general office tasks as needed.
Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
· Must be available to work Friday, November 16 from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm and Saturday, November 17, from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm for the Thanksgiving Distribution; Friday, November 23 from 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm for Red Kettle TD Garden Event and December 11-21 (including Saturday and Sunday) extended morning and evening hours.
· Must be able to safely lift, load and unload boxes, supplies and other items up to 35lbs.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, timely, professional, team oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
Cooperative and sociable with public.
Intermediate skills in data entry, MS Word and Excel
Skills in database coordination, graphic design, web design and social media content management a plus
Valid Massachusetts Drivers License
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
