    Job Title: Kids Café Nutritional Specialist
    Exempt/Nonexempt: Non-Exempt
    Corps, Institution or Department: Cleveland Temple
    Reports To: Commanding Officers
    GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB.

    Prepare, cook and serve meals for the Kid’s Café, Summer Feeding Program and Youth Programs

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

    • Represent The Salvation Army in a manner that brings glory to God.
    • Assist in every way requested to carry out the spiritual and total mission of The Cleveland Temple Corps of The Salvation Army in terms of community needs and our ministry of the people of our community.
    • Prepare and cook meals for Kid’s Café, Summer Feeding Program and Youth Programs
    • Prepare the Kid’s Cafe and Summer Feeding Program meals meeting the Food Bank requirements for the Community
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, walk-ins and cafeteria to meet the Department of Health standards
    • Maintain cleaning and sanitation techniques, while utilizing and operating commercial equipment.
    • Attend necessary food training classes as directed
    • Keep inventory of the supplies and inform the Commanding Officers as needed
    • Takes pride in work and in the cleanliness of the kitchen.
    • Work well with others including staff and volunteers
    • Maintain confidentiality of participants
    • Assist with any other projects as assigned by the Corps Officers

    SUPERVISIORY RESPONSIBILITIES: none

    MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

    • Must be 21 years or older
    • Food and nutritional knowledge

    SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and appropriate intervention skills required.
    • ServSafe Certification required after six months of employment

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
    • Must be 21 years or older
    • Food and nutritional knowledge

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and appropriate intervention skills required.
    • ServSafe Certification required after six months of employment
