  • Overview

    The Salvation Army Empire State Division is currently seeking a full-time Program Director for the Anew Center located in Jamestown, NY.

     

    The Anew Center provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including operation of a 24 hour crisis hotline and emergency shelter, case management, and community outreach & education. 

    Responsibilities

    The Program Director is responsible for operation and administration of all existing programs & services, supervision of all program staff, and development/implementation of future programs & services.

     

    Specific duties includes, but are not limited to:

    • Write Request for Proposals to secure program funding.
    • Negotiate and finalize both existing and new contracts with program funding sources.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain licensure and certification of facilities and programs.
    • Prepare and revise policy and procedural manuals to be in compliance with The Salvation Army, New York State, and County funding requirements.
    • Coordinate the response team schedule for the Domestic Violence/Rape Crisis Program.
    • Monitor scheduling of all program staff to assure coverage for the 24-hour hotline and other program services.
    • Function as the designated Rape Crisis Coordinator as required by DOH.
    • Attend Advisory Board meetings to communicate program information and guidance in specific programs.
    • Represent The Salvation Army at community events as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and minimum five years relevant experience required.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (or equivalent).
