    Position:                                  Seasonal Activities Driver/Associate                 

    Department:                            Greater Philadelphia, 4050 Conshohocken Ave., PA                                            

    Availability of Position:          November 2018 and December 2018

    Schedule:                                 Full-Time; flexible 35-40 hours per week (Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays as needed)

    Reporting Relationship:          Seasonal Services Manager; Greater Philadelphia Ministry Development Coordinator

    Salary and Grade:                   $12.00 per hour; 73 Non-Exempt                      


    Position Overview: The Seasonal Activities Driver/Associate will provide direct support to the Seasonal Services Manager, in addition to the Events &Volunteer Services Manager.


    Primary duties include: Scheduling seasonal donation bins drop-off/collections, driving (toy pick up), meeting with corporate and individual donors, and also providing logistical and administrative support to the Seasonal Services Manager as required. Assist with the collection, sorting, and distribution of seasonal donations and/or other items. Assist with the execution of all 2018 seasonal events and projects. Any other duty as assigned that falls within the range and scope of this position.



    • High School Diploma or GED Proficiency.
    • Valid PA Driver's License and able to obtain insurance clearances as determined by The Salvation Army's insurance company.
    • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.
    • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement whilst exercising duties.
    • Self-motivated; exhibit strong initiative and time management skills as well as good organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment but also the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work well with people, i.e. staff members, corporate partners, volunteers, corporate groups, churches and schools.
    • Must be a detail-oriented, logical thinker, who is a motivated self-starter and able to work independently on assigned tasks.
    • Meet and obtain the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
    • Must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army.
