    Salary and Grade: $47,476 annual; 12 Exempt

    Responsibilities

    The Aquatics Personnel Manager will give oversight to the daily operations of the Aquatic Center with specific attention to appropriate and effective staffing and safety of this area.  Attention will be given to consistent staff training to assure safe, effective coverage during all operating hours. The Aquatics Personnel Manager will also work in conjunction with the Aquatics Program Manager to ensure relevant programs and services are offered by the aquatics department, and will work with the  facilities team to ensure proper operation of the facilities as related to aquatics area.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Sports and/or Recreation Management, or related field preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the management of others in a professional work environment. Willingness and understanding of the need to work nontraditional hours in support of the programs/services offered. Able to work with all ethnic and socio-economic populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent management and leadership skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills required. Ability to work and relate well with people. Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner, remaining calm in escalating circumstances. Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, WSI and CPO certifications (or willing to attain). Must complete PA State Mandatory Reporter Course. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having  completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of  2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History. Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
