    The Lockport, NY Corps Office has an immediate opening for a full-time Youth Services Coordinator. This position will oversee all children and youth programming offered at the corps, including our Bridging the Gap program.

    Responsibilities

    After School and Summer Camp Youth Programming

    • Develop, coordinate and supervise children and youth activities that take place at the Youth Ctr
    • Conduct outreach activities and share with parents the different programs and activities provided at the Youth Center
    • Coordinate after school programs at the Community Center

    Bridging The Gap Program

    • -Coordinate teaching of curriculum classes as well as teach classes as needed
    • -Interview program participants and interact with them and their families

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree with minimum 1 year related experience is required.
    • Experience in Grant Writing.
    • Able to maximize available resources for the benefit of the program.
    • Supervisory experience a plus.
    • Able to work in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
    • Able to be flexible and work nights as required.
    • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and appropriate intervention skills required.
    • Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
    • Valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
