    Position:  Resident Advisor (RA)/Security Monitor

    Location:  PSSM - Reed House, 1320 South 32nd Street, Philadelphia

    Availability of Position:  Immediately

    Schedule: Part-Time 20-29 hours per week; alternating weekends and holidays

    Reporting Relationship: Property Manager

    Salary Grade:  $9.10 per hours; 71 Nonexempt

    Responsibilities

    The Resident Advisor (RA)/Security Monitor must answer the phones and take messages for all staff and residents. The RA is to ensure that only authorized individuals areadmitted into the Facility.  RA’s must make regular rounds of the building to ensure an orderly and safe environment.  RA’s must monitor security cameras to ensure that there are no unauthorized/illegal activities occurring inside or outside the building. RA's must respond quickly to all resident incidence/emergencies, complete incident reports, document in daily log and contact Property Manager as necessary. RA’s may be required to perform otherduties as assigned by the Property Manager.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Prior work experience with mental health,drug/alcohol or related experience required.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate well with people.
    • CPR and Crisis Management Training, a plus.
    • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks:   PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
    • Must have anunderstanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Sanctuary Model.
