    Location/Department:Bridgeport Corps (Bridgeport, CT)

    Status: Full-time, Non-exempt, Temporary (July 02 – August 10, 2018)

    Hours Per Week: 30

     

    Scope & Purpose of Position:

    Assist with the summer youth activities of the Bridgeport Corps.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the planning and implementation of youth activities.
    • Participate in all activities with youth, as directed.
    • Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks each day.
    • Assist in record keeping (attendance statistics).
    • Assist in clean-up each day.
    • Attend staff meetings, as needed.
    • Assist with other programs, as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work independently as well as with others.
    • Ability to understand and follow English oral and written instructions.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Experience supervising elementary-aged (6-12 year old) children
    • Valid driver’s license helpful, but not required.
    • Will respect and promote the interest of The Salvation Army. The individual is not required to embrace the tenets of faith, but he/she is required to promote and respect the mission of The Salvation Army
