    The Salvation Army is hiring! We are seeking individuals with a passion for helping others, and a desire to do the most good in their own community. Our Divisional Headquarters Finance team has a new opportunity for a part time Centralized Bookkeeper. Working hours will range between 25 to 27.5 hours per week. This individual will complete all bookkeeping functions for multiple corps from Divisional Headquarters.

    • (Daily) Input all income and expenses into the computer utilizing Shelby Systems
    • (Daily) Print and mail checks
    • (Daily) Receive and answer calls from Corps officers
    • Complete all monthly bank reconciliations and other reconciliations as needed (i.e. AP open invoice detail listing)
    • Calculate and input monthly support service, world services, and harvest festival
    • Email month end financial statements to corps officers
    • (Quarterly) Sales Tax preparation and payments
    • Year-end financial preparation
    • Prepare miscellaneous reports as time permits for Corps officers and supervisor
    • All other miscellaneous functions as requested


    • Associate's degree and one year related experience required.
    • Successful completion of Shelby beginner class within (3) months of hire date.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
