Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Controller’s responsibility is to plan, direct, and administer RAS’s financial affairs to achieve financial and program objectives and goals. Position requires experience in accounting, and knowledge of GAAP and FASB concepts, practices and procedures within the area of non-profit accounting.
Prepare financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules to guide management. Manage and provide financial reports on RAS activities to assist management and the advisory board in making decisive, fiscal decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Up to six years of diversified accounting training and experience required. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking knowledge. Spreadsheet proficiency and organizational skills required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required to produce clearly organized, written, financial narratives. Self-directed with an ability to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines. Position demands superior attention to detail.
