Completes intakes, assists with discharges, completes paperwork as needed. Works closely with adult residents. Provides orientation to the program. Reviews program rules, policies and procedures with clients. Reports rule violations, injuries, and incidents to assigned worker and management – both verbally and in writing via the special report (must be completed by the end of their scheduled shift). Assures safety of all residents and staff by making responsible judgment calls to contact Security or 911 when needed.
Also, implements the Facility Emergency Evacuation Procedure (FEEP). Cleans residents’ room and does laundry after discharge.
Assures good housekeeping and maintenance in the rooms assigned. Notifies management when shelter supplies and/or snacks are low. Completes appropriate requests on standardized forms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE: ACTIVE LISTENING; ASSISTING RESIDENTS WITH BASIC SUPPLIES; REFERRING THEM TO THEIR ASSIGNED SOCIAL WORKER WHEN APPROPRIATE; MAINTAINING CONFIDENTIALITY; ASSURING SAFETY AND ORDER;
