    SALARY GRADE:

    $10.00p/hr

    STATUS:

    Nonexempt

    SCHEDULE:  Seasonal Full Time (days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays)

          

     

    Responsibilities

    The Production Cook / Server will be responsible for the daily preparation and delivery of food for breakfast and lunch, including high levels of guest satisfaction, Point of Sale (P.O.S.) order entry, cash handling, retail, catering and internal events, equipment maintenance and overall cafe/kitchen cleanliness.  

    Qualifications

              

    • Must have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be available to work at least one weekend per month.
    • Prior experience in a fast paced café environment and or experience in a short order kitchen preferred.
    • Working knowledge of a Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
    • Become ServSafe Certified within 30 days of hire.
    • Must possess good customer service skills, be proactive and display a smile at all times.
    • Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
    • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
    • Must have ability to work well with others while responding to direction and feedback.
    • Must be able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English; bi-lingual English/Spanish deemed a plus.
    • Must meet all food safety and sanitation guidelines of The Salvation Army.
