    The Salvation Army is hiring! We are seeking individuals with a passion for helping others, and a desire to do good in their own community.

     

    We are currently seeking full-time Personal Care Aides for our Senior Service Social Day Program, which is conveniently located next to the Centro Bus Center on Salina St. This position is scheduled to work during daytime hours, Monday-Friday.  

     

    This position will assist each program participant with their routine daily care and program services in accordance with the participants' assessment and care plan.  This position also assists the in planning and leading group and individual activities, with the goal of promoting participant involvement in pursuits suitable to their interests and abilities.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Assist with daily operational activities
    • Plan and organize activities for program participants
    • Provide personal care per participant care plan
    • Assist with meal delivery per participant care plan
    • Record progress notes per documentation procedures and requirements
    • Transport participants between program location and home using agency vehicle

    Qualifications

    • Current Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certification and minimum one year related experience required.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Valid Driver's License that meets The Salvation Army's insurance requirements is required.
    • Associates degree preferred.
