Schedule: 30 hours, 7.5/day Tues through Friday, some flexibility to meet program needs

Salary Grade: $ 13.75 per hour 73 Non-Exempt

The Peer Support Counselor is charged with pursuing the goals of The Salvation Army’s Opioid Prevention and Treatment Program to prevent opioid overdose deaths. This program, funded by the Independence Blue Cross Foundation for one year, is housed at the Pioneer Corps. The PSC will focus on the goals of prevention through the provision of intensive case management services to participants and their families, and treatment by assisting participants to access detoxification and treatment programs. The PSC is responsible for recruitment of participants, goal planning, service/treatment linkage, monitoring and follow-up. The PSC will facilitate SELF groups for participants and their families with the goal of developing community champions to sustain support groups in the Kensington community.
