    The Salvation Army is hiring!


    We are currently seeking a part-time Lead Program Assistant for the Greater Things After School Program in Albany, NY. This position will assist with the implementation of an after school program that will enrich student's academic, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being.


    This position will be scheduled 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.


    Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Coordination with local Corps Officer to ensure that the program meets Salvation Army mission and activity schedule;
    • Promotion of the program in schools and the community;
    • Plan monthly calendar of activities and ensuring that these activities are being carried out;
    • Implement the program curriculum as planned by the Corps Officer to ensure a quality experience for all participants.
    • Work directly with children to implement; engaging, developmentally appropriate educational enrichment curriculum and programming, which expands and supports student-learning experiences beyond the classroom.


    • Associates' Degree and minimum one year of related experience required.
    • Must possess valid driver's license that meets The Salvation Army's insurance requirements
    • Ability to speak English & Spanish is preferred
