Position: Seasonal Bus Driver
Department: York, PA Corps
Availability of Position: Seasonal July and August
Schedule: Part-Time; 20 hours per week varied
Reporting Relationship: Corps Officer and/or Business Manager
Salary and Grade: $15.00 per hour; 74 Non-Exempt
Position Overview: Safely transport summer camp children to and from camp, on trips, etc.
Safely transport individuals to and from Salvation Army functions. Conduct a pre-trip / post-trip inspection whenever you drive. Record any damages or wear in bus journal and report to Supervisor. Report any problems related to the bus such as accidents, damage or passenger difficulties to Supervisor. Maintain/Clean the interior and the exterior of the bus. Responsible for notifying Business Administrator of necessary maintenance and inspections for the bus (gas, annual and semi-annual inspections, oil and filter changes, fire extinguishers, fluids, tires, etc.). Maintain a bus journal, which entails: written log of trips taken, mileage, gas fill ups, damages and wear and tear reports. Responsible for securing bus at the end of the day; locking all doors and windows, removing trash and lost and found items. Responsible for notifying Corps Officer/Business Manager of any parts necessary for upkeep of bus. Abide by all applicable driving laws and regulations. Participate in drug testing as requested. Do special pick-ups only by supervisor’s instructions. Performs related duties as assigned.
