    DEPARTMENT:  Youth        

     

    REPORTS TO:  Assistant Camp Director

     

    SUPERVISES:  Summer Laundry / Housekeeper                  

     

    STATUS:  Non-exempt                                             

     

    SCHEDULE:   25 hours per week weekdays, nights, and weekends. Schedule must be flexible

     

    FUNCTION: Maintain all areas of camp in a manner that present a constant image of cleanliness, order, and high health/hygienic standards. Responsible for cleaning all areas of camp before and after user groups or as directed by the Assistant Camp Director.

    Responsibilities

    1. Represent The Salvation Army in a manner that brings glory to God.
    2. Assist in every way requested to carry out the spiritual and total mission of The Southwest Ohio & Northeast Kentucky (SWONEKY) Division of The Salvation Army in terms of community needs and our ministry to the people of the region.
    3. Strive to up-hold a solid Christian influence in all areas, serving as a positive role model to the young people of the division.
    1. Must be passionate about the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Vision of the SWONEKY Division.

     

    DUTIES:  OFF SEASON

     

    1. Maintain a high quality of cleanliness throughout camp
    2. Create a list of items needed to be ordered and given to Assistant Camp Director
    3. Cleaning of All facilities, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming with emphasizes on Conference Center after rental group use.
    4. Cleaning of bathrooms, toilets, sinks, showers and mirrors, laundry and making of beds at conference center.
    5. Restock supplies (cleaning and toiletries) in all areas
    6. Cleaning of window sills, cobwebs etc.

     

     

     

     

     

    DUTIES -SUMMER

    1. Supervise summer laundress/housekeeper.
    2. Daily laundering of summer staff laundry based on a laundry schedule
    3. Laundering of lice and bed bug camper items
    4. Laundering sheets at end of camp session
    5. Counting and getting sheets ready for campers
    6. Keeping laundry room neat and clean
    7. Empty lint traps
    8. Laundering of mop heads from cabin drop off
    9. Cleaning of bathrooms in designated areas
    10. Restocking of toiletries and cleaning supplies
    11. Making a list of items needed to order and given to Assistant Camp Director
    12. Organizing and laundering lost and found items

    Qualifications

    Must be clear of state and federal violations/abuse to children

    Must be meticulous about cleaning and do the work with a good spirit that will be a positive factor for the camp

    Must be well organized
