Position: Play Care Associate
Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Part Time (under 20 hours per week) - Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as may be required in performance of duties or as requested to support the ongoing operations of the Kroc Center.
Reporting Relationship: Membership Services Manager
Salary and Grade: $10.00 per hour; 71 Non exempt
The Play Care Associate provides safe, fun, and secure care to children of Kroc Center members and guests.
Each Play Care Associate will provide age-appropriate activities and experiences for those assigned to his/her care. The use of superior customer service in providing such care to each child is required. Must be able to be flexible in support of the Kroc Center team in all areas of center operation, as needed and assigned.
High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a program designed to result in such achievement required. Education or experience in a child care or related setting preferred. Current CPR/AED required. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English; proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Must have ability to work and relate well with people. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must possess an appreciation for and understanding of The Mission of The Salvation Army and the SAKC.
