    The Salina Infant Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Site Supervisor.  This position will assist with the daily operation and administration of the daycare center, which provides childcare for children between 6 weeks and 36 months of age.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for compliance with Office of Children and Family Services license standards, Quality Assurance (Quality Starts) and Early Head Start Child Care Partnership standards 
    • Will provide daily management of the center overall programming and staffing 
    • Will support day to day operations of center schedule, daily staffing coverage needs, monitoring of staff benefits time and use, provide supervision to center staff 
    • Recruit, hire, orient, supervise, and provide support for onboard and ongoing training opportunities for staff to ensure alignment with all partnership qualification standards 
    • Will evaluate staff performance in partnership with the EHS supervisory team and according to OCFS/EHS partnership program standards
    • Provide and maintain consistent contact with parents (guardians) to ensure communication between the parent and the program staff 
    • Work in partnership with EHS service area managers to ensure resource and referrals are available for client supports 
    • Attend, participate in administrative meetings and assist with department/agency activities as assigned
    • Work in collaboration with Early Head Start Management team to be in alignment with Early Head Start Performance Standards by participating in EHS trainings and providing guidance and supervision to staff 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Early Childhood Education OR in related field with at least 9 credits of early childhood education coursework; or
    • Associate’s degree in Early Education OR in a related field with at least 9 credits of early childhood education coursework; or CDA with an approved plan of study by NYS OCFS to complete a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education
    • Prior experience working in day care center or EHS program required
    • Administrative and supervisory experience is preferred
    • Valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army’s insurance requirements.
    • Access to vehicle during working hours
    • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs., negotiate stairs, meet health requirements per licensing
    • Clearance through NYS/DSS Central Registry
