Position: Case Aid

Department: Children’s Services- Foster Care Program, Allentown PA

Availability of Position: Immediately (3-4 positions available)

Schedule:   Part Time Schedule of up to 20 hours per week and early evenings required and some weekends.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Visitation Coordinator

Salary and Grade: $18.00 per hour; 76 Non Exempt


The Case Aid position includes transporting foster children to family visits, various appointments and supervising family visitation. Written documentation will be required for agency records.



Bachelor’s Degree required plus a minimum of two years of work experience in child welfare or similar setting.  A Pennsylvania driver’s license, safe driving record, insurance and reliable automobile is required.  Flexibility in scheduling work hours is necessary. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks:   PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. An appreciation for, and understanding of, the philosophy and mission of The Salvation Army is required.
