Position Title          Seasonal Music & Gospel Arts Department Assistant 



Responsible to      Divisional Music Director


Education Requirements      High School Diploma


Work Experience      Work or volunteer experience teaching young children


Other Qualifications


  • Active participation in Salvation Army instrumental and vocal programs is preferred
  • Skill on a brass instrument required; piano and voice experience preferred
  • Have the ability to work effectively with people and carry out the instructions of superiors
  • Experience working with music instruction for children
  • Maintain a vibrant Christian witness both within and outside his/her corps

Principal Functions      Be responsible to and assist the Massachusetts Divisional Music & Gospel Arts Department during 2018 Massachusetts Music Conservatory and 2018 Massachusetts Music Camp



Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Serve as a faculty member for Massachusetts Music Conservatory and Massachusetts Music Camp
  2. Serve as either boys or girls counselor for Music Conservatory  
  3. Serve as a private and group brass instructor at Music Conservatory  
  4. Assist on the Music Camp Faculty as assigned by the Divisional Music Director 
  5. Assist in the transportation and setup of music equipment  
  6. Complete independently or assist in any task assigned by the Divisional Music Director The scope of this job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Also, there will be times when the Seasonal Music & Gospel Arts Department Assistant will be asked to perform tasks, which are not specifically listed herein.
