The Salvation Army in Central Ohio is seeking a full-time Regional Housing Coordinator position. 


This position is responsible to manage the housing/homeless programs in Delaware, Madison, Marion, Morrow and Union Counties and provides employee supervision. Programs managed include Homeless Prevention, Permanent Supportive Housing, Support Services for Veterans Families, Senior Assistance, Youth Counts Program, and the Union County Choice Pantry.


  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Licensed Social Worker – State of Ohio required; Masters’ Degree in Social Work preferred
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Previous experience working in the field of housing and homelessness required
  • Knowledgeable of housing and homelessness issues and a willingness to adhere to client centered, housing first program services
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive can-do attitude and a sleeves rolled up approach to leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of grant writing, grant reporting, performance measurement and program budgeting processes
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards
