Overview

Position: Case Manager Supervisor

Department: Philadelphia Social Service Ministries, New Day Program, Philadelphia, PA    

Availability of Position: Immediate  

Schedule: Full-Time; Monday-Friday 9am- 5pm, some nights and weekends required                     

Reporting Relationship: Director of Anti Trafficking           

Salary and Grade: $46,350 annual; 12 Exempt

Position Overview: The Case Manager Supervisor (CMS) will provide trauma informed clinical supervision of new day case managers located at the new day drop in center, as well as, manage a small case load of direct service clients. The CMS position is funded through a two year reinvestment grant through the City of Philadelphia Community Behavioral Health Department.

Responsibilities

Description of Position: The CMS will provide supervision of staff that is consistent with the values of New Day and the Sanctuary Model for trauma informed care. The focus of case management will be client-centered, trauma-informed, clinical case management for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and those with behavioral health disorders at the New Day Drop in Center. In addition, the CMS will oversee compliance with documentation requirements as outlined by the funding agency.

Qualifications

Requirements:                                   

 

  • MSW degree with a minimum 2-5 years of experience working in human trafficking or a related field (e.g. domestic violence, immigrant rights, workers’ rights) in a role that involves direct service provision.
  • Valid License in Social Work in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Experience with trauma informed care preferably a working knowledge of Sanctuary Model for Trauma informed services.
  • Experience working with substance abuse issues.
  • Must have an understanding of the issue of Domestic Human Trafficking.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
  • Professional-level communications skills verbal and written.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
