    1. Principal FunctionsResponsible for co-teaching in a designated classroom as well as ensuring that our infant and toddler classrooms operate with high quality standards and excellence

  • Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

  1. Intake and Coordination of all Infant / Toddler related activities. This includes all communications with parents for day to day activities, incident reports, injury logs, and curriculum and classroom preparation.

  3. Coordinate, prepare and keep minutes of all infant / Toddler staff meetings and any other meetings related to the infant / toddler program as they arise. This will include supporting, acquiring resources and helping the Director in facilitation of trainings specific to infant / toddler topics.

 

  1. Develop and implement daily Infant / Toddler curriculum. Approve the curriculum for the infant and toddler classrooms. Ensure that all progress reports, daily interaction logs, daily food logs and CACFP billings are in order.

 

  1. Maintain a safe, stable, and loving environment that fosters an educational, loving and nurturing atmosphere. Ensure that all aspects of the program are conducive to the health of the children in our care, including ensuring that positive discipline is used at all times.

 

  1. Make sure all aspects of the classroom are running smoothly; transitions, routines, nap time, health and safety procedures, etc. This included all job responsibilities related to classroom teaching, including teacher responsibilities, proper supervision of children in the class and maintaining the ratio.

 

  1. Evaluate each child’s needs and set appropriate goals

 

  1. Complete daily journals for each child – a brief summary of how they were each day.

 

  1. Keep classrooms clean, stock materials, and lock the door at the end of each day

 

  1. Observe the children in order to pick up on any developmental, emotional, or behavioral needs that might require special services or evaluation

 

  1. Implement innovative ideas into the Infant and Toddler classrooms in order to improve the lives of the children we serve.

 

  1. Assist the Parent Coordinator and/or Director with the referral process

 

  1. Supervise volunteers, interns, and specialists in your classroom. Do not leave these individuals alone with the children.

 

  1. Assist the CLC Director in ensuring we provide a high quality program to the families being served

 

  1. Become familiar with and follow through with EEC regulations, center policies and Salvation Army policies.

 

  1. Perform other related duties within the scope of the position.
