    Title: Audio/Visual Technician /AV Tech

     

    Department: Business/Multimedia, Communications & Technology

     

    Reports To: Multimedia Services Manager

     

    Salary Grade: TBD Status: Non-Exempt

     

    Supervises: This is a line contributor position

     

    Schedule: On Call - including some evenings, weekend hours and/or holidays

    Responsibilities

    Function: The AV Tech provides technical support for events at the Camden Kroc Center through the set-up and operation of audio / video / lighting equipment, including digital sound and lighting boards, wired and wireless microphones, portable sound systems, video screens, projectors, recording equipment, led and standard lighting fixtures, and related electronic equipment for concerts, sports events, meetings, presentations, worship services and special events.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a HS diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Possess progressive knowledge and experience of digital Audio/Video /Lighting systems.
    • Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues, instantly pinpointing faults and remedy during an event while Audio, Video and Lighting systems are being used.
    • Ability to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment and balance multiple tasks at once. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
    • General knowledge of performing arts and sensitivity to the needs of the artists.
    • Demonstrated desire to provide and maintain a high level of customer service.
    • Ability to provide excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to climb stairs (theater cat walk, as an example) and to climb a ladder.
    • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Camden Kroc Center’s Core Values.
