Position: Assistant Program Aide/Driver      

Department: Levittown Corps       

Availability of Position: Immediate 

Schedule:  Part-Time; Monday through Friday; 3pm to 6pm           

Reporting Relationship: Corps Officers, Childcare Coordinator    

Salary and Grade: $12.00 per hour; 72 Non-Exempt          


Position Overview:  Drive and supervise staff & children in the Before & After-School Program and Summer Day Camp Program.


Driver & Evening Supervisor of staff & children in the Before & After-School Program and Summer Day Camp program.  Engage with children in help with homework, recreation, crafts, preparing snacks.  Keep program areas clean and provide a safe environment for the children.


 Minimum Requirements:

  • As a driver, must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record. Must be at least the age of 21 to operate 12 passenger vehicle.
  • Must have at least 2 years of child care experience.     
  • As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. *   Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
  • While an appreciation for, and understanding of, the philosophy and mission of The Salvation Army is required, being active Salvationist is a plus.
