Overview

Position: Assistant Director of Anti-Trafficking                                                                  

Department: Philadelphia Social Service Ministries            

Availability of Position: Starts October 30, 2017

Schedule: Full-Time; 9am-5pm and some nights and weekends                  

Reporting Relationship: Director of Anti-Trafficking

Salary Grade: 13 Exempt with excellent benefits

Responsibilities

Description of Position:        The Assistant Director of Anti-Trafficking will support the Director of Anti-Trafficking and Social Services with all necessary administrative efforts to expand and grow the New Day to Stop Trafficking Program (NDSTP), assist federal anti-trafficking assist federal anti-trafficking Office of Victims Crimes (OVC) funded grants, and oversee New Day program coordinator and NDSTP clinical staff. The Assistant Anti-Trafficking Director will participate and coordinate all public awareness/ training efforts including but not limited to, internally and externally for service providers, OVC grantee partners, community members, law enforcement and internal The Salvation Army staff.  The Assistant Anti-Trafficking Director will also focus on fundraising efforts for the NDSTP along with the Director and PSSM Development Team.

Qualifications

Requirements:                                  

  • MSW degree with a minimum of two years of experience working with victims of human trafficking.
  • Experience with trauma informed care preferably a working knowledge of Sanctuary Model for Trauma informed services.
  • Must have an understanding of the issue of Domestic and Foreign Human Trafficking.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
  • Professional-level communications skills verbal and written.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
  • Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
  • Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
