Overview

Location/Department: Greater Hartford Area Services (Hartford, CT)

FLSA Status: Seasonal Full-time, Non-Exempt (December 4, 2017 to December 29, 2017)

Hours Per Week: 40 hours

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM (evenings and weekends as needed)

 

Scope & Purpose of Position:

To support all of the Greater Hartford holiday programs which includes Angel Tree, Holiday Store, and Adopt a Family.

Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Drive to various locations throughout Greater Hartford to collect holiday items such as food, clothing, and toys.
  • Load and unload holiday items such as food, clothing and toys.
  • Act in a professional and courteous demeanor - profanity or other abusive language or gestures are prohibited.
  • Communicate all barriers and issues to direct supervisors.
  • Accurately complete a time card each

The above duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive and may be modified to include other job related duties at the discretion of the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver’s license
  • Shall maintain a valid driver’s license, free of restriction by either the granting state or Chesterfield Insurance
  • Friendly and have a positive attitude
  • Will respect and promote the interest of The Salvation Army. The individual is not required to embrace the tenets of faith, but he/she is required to promote and respect the mission of The Salvation Army.
