Overview

TITLE: Office Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Children’s Services – Foster Care & Adoption; Allentown, PA

REPORTS TO: Director of Children’s Services

SUPERVISES: N/A          

SALARY and GRADE: $17.00 per hour; 75 Non- Exempt   

SCHEDULE: Full-Time position working Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and some Saturdays required for special events.

 

 

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

This position offers a diversity of duties and requires a skilled individual in customer service, volunteer relations and office management. The Office Administrator ensures that the office operates in an efficient, organized and professional manner on a daily basis. Serves as a lead communicator for all agency operations in support of program services to clients, community and work partners. Assists with the recruitment and retention and organizational efforts for foster and adoptive families and volunteers. Assists with the coordination of special events and outreach efforts including volunteer management.

Qualifications

*High School Diploma

*Five years in an office setting with experience in customer relations, office management and file management.   Experience with word processing, excel spreadsheets and website management.

*Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, engagement skills, organization skills, computer skills and ability to work as a team member is critical.

*Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: *PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30   days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter.

*Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
