Overview

The Salvation Army is hiring!

 

We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and highly motivated community member to assit with The Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign in the Albany, NY area.

 

This position is seasonal, and will be scheduled up to 40 hours per week beginning 11/3/17 through 12/24/2017.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with annual Red Kettle fundraising activities for the Albany, NY area.
  • Inspires and recruits kettle volunteers, civic and area organizations, local businesses.
  • Promote kettle campaign and bell-ringer recruitment
  • Assist with set-up, tears-down and stores kettle equipment as needed.
  • Assist with schedules and collects from multiple kettle sites and volunteers.
  • Collects and deposits kettle proceeds as directed by Treasurer, Chairperson and/or Corps Officer.
  • Communicates regularly with AAS. C.O. during kettle campaign. Ensure that Red Kettle Campaign rules and order of conduct are followed at all times by volunteers\workers.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer software skills in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
  • Proficient in creating team success
  • Valid Driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army’s insurance requirements.
