Position: IT Operations Manager
Department: Information Technology, Divisional Headquarters, 701 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA
Availability of Position: Immediate
Reporting Relationship: Director of Information Technology; Indirectly to the Business Secretary
Salary and Grade: $50,000-$62,000; 13 Exempt with excellent benefits options, pension and paid time off
Position Overview: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities needed to provide hardware, software and network support for onsite and remote users (telephone, remote and desk side). Schedules work related to the installation, configuration, modification and maintenance of user’s workstations, troubleshooting when needed. Occasional travel to remote sites may be needed. Assists the IT Director in various projects.
Description of Position:
Requirements: High school diploma required. Some related college coursework or IT Technical School certificate required. Bachelor’s degree not required but desirable. Comptia A+ certification required and Network+ desired. At least two years of prior relevant work experience in a Client Support Tech role is required. Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic work environment for a large area. Experience working with queueing systems, and scheduling of work orders is a plus. Previous experience working in a supervisory capacity required, even if not in IT function. Valid driver’s license required. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to routinely lift personal computer equipment (Large printers, monitors, etc.) Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
