The Salvation Army is Hiring!

 

The Kids Cafe After School Program has an immediate opening for a part-time Program Assistant. This position will provide administrative support to the Program Director.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and distribute accurate information
  • Assist in preparing documents for submission for reimbursement from Child Adult Care Food Program.
  • Assist in supervising after-school and summer day camp program.
  • Ensure health and safety of children in programs.
  • Carry out established rules of behavior and discipline.
  • Responsible for ensuring activities are planned.
  • Maintain program data and children’s files.
  • Assist Program Director in menu preparation.
  • Order and track food purchases as well as needed materials for program.
  • In absence of Director, Monitor program, maintain ratios and maintain order and safety.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in related field preferred with two years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Computer software and systems a necessity
  • One year supervisory experience
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of child development
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new concepts/ideas.
