Overview

Position: Receptionist/Office worker                         
Department: Coatesville, PA Corps
Availability of Position: Immediate
Schedule:   Part Time 20-29 Hours per week
Reporting Relationship: Corps Officers
Salary Grade: 71 Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

The function of the receptionist includes greeting customers and staff, answering, screening and directing all calls, and taking messages.  This position will also direct incoming mail, maintain office supply inventory and must acquire a full knowledge of all services provided by the Salvation Army Coatesville Programs. In addition this position will assist the case worker with scheduling the social service interviews, keeping records and other clerical duties. The receptionist/office worker will also work directly with Officers and administration to provide support and handle any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*High School diploma or equivalent.

*Bilingual (Spanish-English) required.

*Good communication skills.

*Good organizational skills.                                                                                                              

*Knowledge of computer, Microsoft Word, filing and general office procedures.

*Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army

*While an appreciation for, and understanding of, the philosophy and mission of The Salvation Army is required, being active Salvationist is a plus.

*As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of  employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
