Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

To further the building of the Kingdom of God through The Salvation Army by providing support and excellent customer service for the IT needs of the Salvation Army’s Northeast Ohio Division.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participate in addressing Help Desk tickets with regard to any and all IT assets and infrastructure within the NEOSA Division. This can include the hardware, firmware, and software, of computer systems, phone systems, and data communications systems. Support of these assets may take place remotely (via BMC Footprints or Bomgar), or via onsite visit to locations within the division.
  2. Provide timely service for assets within the NEOSA division, as it pertains to their initial distribution, reutilization, or repair.
  3. Maintain a current knowledge of the organization’s approved hardware, policies, problem resolutions or risk mitigation methods which are used to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the Salvation Army’s data.
  4. Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and account maintenance of PBX (phone) systems.
  5. Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and support of the Lotus Notes Client application.
  6. Assist in the activation, troubleshooting, and support of mobile phones and tablets.
  7. Assist in the backup of restoration of critical centralized services and data within the division.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the NEOSA Director of Information Technology.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS and/or EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate shall possess at least a two year degree in Information Technology or related field.  IT certifications and work experience will be considered in lieu of this requirement.

REQUIREMENTS, SPECIAL SKILLS. CERTIFICATES

  • Valid Driver’s License and a willingness to travel throughout the NEOSA Division.
  • Technical knowledge of Networks, Active Directory, MS Server 2008/2012, & MS Windows OS
  • Macintosh OS knowledge a plus.
  • Proficient installation, use, and support of Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry materials weighing 30 lbs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet defined SLA’s and deadlines.
