Overview

To assist the Corps Officer(s) in the overall maintenance of the building.

Responsibilities

  • Check outside perimeters by removing all unsightly debris,
  • Vacuum all floor mats, check all wastebaskets for trash, dust & mop lobby all halls, classrooms, and offices.
  • Check all bathrooms for cleanliness, replenish soap and paper towels, (sweep, clean toilets and mop floor as needed)
  • Sweep and mop kitchen areas.
  • Clean chapel (including vacuum, dusting, and polishing pews.
  • Check and put away all deliveries.
  • Clean all stairwells ( make sure they are free of debris or trash and mop when needed)
  • Shovel snow
  • Touch up paint throughout the building, minor repairs, change of lightbulbs, etc. when necessary
  • Fix plumbing fixtures when necessary. 

       Seasonal Responsibilities: 

  • Drive kettle workers to different location in the morning, pick up kettle workers in the evening
  • Coordinate the locations where the kettle workers are going to be placed at during the season
  • Paint the stands and signs and prepare all necessary equipment for the season. Repair bells and stands if needed.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid, current New York Driver's license or obtain one within the first 2 months of hire date.
  • Knowledge of cleaning supplies and use them appropriately.
  • Able to do minor repairs for upkeep of the building.
