Employee reports directly to the Facility Manager/Housekeeper Supervisor. The Housekeeper is expected to maintain the appearance of the building clean and orderly and generally serving the residents.


  • Performs housekeeping chores as assigned. These may include but are not limited to the job description.
  • Bathroom-cleaning sinks, showers, and toilets.
  • Kitchen/Serving Area-cleaning sinks and counters; cleaning small appliance and serving utensils or serving equipment, including the steam table and cart. Bag trash after meals.
  • Dining Room-washing off tables, sweeping and mopping.
  • Clean entrance of building, hose sidewalk and entrance when is required.
  • Remove ice and snow when require, remove garbage debris to proper areas.
  • Wash out trashcans and replace liners.
  • Work in the laundry room; filling and removing resident’s laundry from the washer and dryer, folding and arranging laundry as requested. Serve meals to residents on the respective shift he/she is working with. Work in the clothing room and distributes clothing to the residents.
  • Move housekeeping supplies as well as stocking to the residents.
  • Works to promote harmony among the promptly and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Attends training classed on safety procedures, including building evacuation, first aid, and all other classes scheduled by the management as requested. 


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Employee must be in good physical health, must be able to work comfortably within a difficult population.
  • Life experience along with Food Handler’s Certification.
