Reports to: Franklin County Housing Program Manager
Overview: The Salvation Army in Central Ohio is seeking a full-time Direct Housing Case manager. The Direct Housing Program aims to assist homeless families into affordable, safe, and stable housing in accordance with the Housing First model. The Direct Housing case management team provides short-term housing location and stabilization services, including financial assistance and intensive home-based case management.
Service knowledge for this position must include the following social service case management skills: referral/linkage to community resources, advocacy, negotiation, data entry, networking, documentation, strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, budget planning, understanding of landlord-tenant law, crisis intervention, understanding of career development strategies, and case plan goal development and monitoring.
