Cook/Housekeeper-Direct Support Professional (6-8am) & (12-6pm)
Housekeeper/Cook has the overall responsibility for the general upkeep of the facility, cooking of all meals, snacks, food shopping and orders, also stock rotation of food. Must obtain DOH Food Handlers Certificate
Plans and prepares daily meals according to specific diet needs of individuals.
Organizes and assists residents at meal times.
Maintains upkeep of household and completes weekly facility rounds reports.
Purchases and orders food supplies.
Responsible for program funds.
Reports needs for program funds.
Reports as indicated the need for service/repairs and inventory (e.g. specialized maintenance) maintains receipts and financial records for food and supplies.
Attendance standards: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 8:00am, 12:00noon – 6:00pm and at the discretion of the Program Coordinator.
Maintains inventory and assures adequate supplies are available for staff.
Collaborates with the Dietician and Nurse and program management
Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons and population served.

High School Diploma
Food preparation and housekeeping experience.
N.Y.S. Drivers License.
Must obtain DOH Food Handlers Certificate.
Certified AMAP and CPR training Certificates
