Position Kroc Wellness Attendant (KAA)
Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA
Availability: Immediate
Schedule: Part Time- Must be willing and able to work with flexibility as requested to support the ongoing operations of the Kroc Center.
Reporting Relationship: Fitness and Recreation Manager
Grade: 74 Salary Range: $16.07

Under the direction and supervision of the Wellness Dept Managers, the Wellness Attendant will assist in aquatics/fitness/gymnasium, and member services, enforcing department rules, including but not limited to assuring that minors are properly accompanied by guardians and that only those eligible use the facility. The Wellness Attendant takes a lead role in addressing violations to department policies in a respectful, professional manner and promptly reports issues, concerns and questions to the Member Services, Aquatics and Fitness Managers as appropriate for follow-up action.

High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a program designed to result in such achievement required. Current CPR/AED preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required.  Must be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English. Must have ability to work and relate well with people.   

As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 prior to employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
