Overview

TITLE:     Special Projects Coordinator                                                

DEPARTMENT:   Social Ministries Greater Cincinnati

REPORTS TO:     Program Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

STATUS: Non-Exempt           

SCHEDULE:   25 hours per week Monday through Friday        

FUNCTION:    The Social Ministries Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for screening, assessing, and serving clients for the Share the Light Program, Summer Camp Ministry, Sweet Cheeks, and other special projects and events. The position also assists with the Food Pantry in the Social Ministries Department.           

Responsibilities

DUTIES:        

  • Answer and return telephone calls and respond to inquiries concerning Share the Light, Summer Camp, Sweet Cheeks, and other Social Ministries projects and events.
  • Provide information, referrals, and materials as needed for Share the Light, Summer Camp, Sweet Cheeks, and other special projects of the department.
  • Screen, assess, and provide services to clients for Share the Light and Summer Camp based on established needs and qualifications.
  • Coordinate the Share the Light program year-round, including monitoring monthly funding allocations, attending Duke Energy meetings, and submitting invoices to Finance.
  • Work collaboratively with Corps personnel, internal department staff, and community partners regarding program services.
  • Process program applications, ensuring thoroughness, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Maintain an up-to-date client database, recording and tracking information daily.
  • Prepare data and statistical reports for Share the Light, Summer Camp, Sweet Cheeks, and other Social Ministries programs and projects.
  • Stock and maintain the Food Pantry.
  • Attend staff development meetings, training, and conferences as scheduled.
  • Provide administrative support when necessary.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and as related to Social Ministries programs and special projects.
  • Maintain a personal program of professional development and participate in weekly supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
  • One year of project/program(s) oversight
  • Highly Motivated.
  • Self-starter who can work in an environment with multiple, changing, work priorities
  • Strong computer skills, including Mail merge, Microsoft Edge, Word and Excel
