Overview

The Salvation Army’s Lowell Corps. is hiring (2) Day Camp Group Leaders and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 150 Appleton Street, Lowell, MA

Hours/week: 30 hours per week

                      July 21st – 26th and August 4th – 7th  

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

 

Work with the Day Camp Director to conduct in-house Summer Day Camp program.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education Requirements:

DPH qualified and/or BA degree in Early Childhood Education or have a Child Development Associate.  Must have First Aid and CPR training, physical stamina and the ability to relate well with children and adults.

 

Work Experience:

  1. Minimum of six months experience working or volunteering with school age children.
  2. Must have experience with Christian Education Programs for school age children such as Sunday School or Vacation Bible Study.

 

Other Qualifications:

  1. Must have a keen interest and sincere appreciation for children.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Must be able to plan, prepare and implement the day-to-day activities.
  4. Must be able to lead devotional time on a rotation basis.
