Salary/Grade: 21.25 per hour, 76 Non-exempt                      

Continuation of this position is dependent upon the renewal of the grant or continued funding.

 About New Day New Home: New Day New Home is a housing program for survivors of trafficking.

Description of Position: The New Home Community Engagement Specialist (CES) Coordinator is to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the New Home residents through implementation and monitoring of the healing environment at New Home.  The CES Coordinator leads room checks on a monthly basis and supports with maintaining a clean living and working environment through inventory purchases and actively participating an upholding the rotating cleaning schedule.  The CES Coordinator will work alongside the House Manager in creating and coordination program activities, support groups/services with outside agencies for residents.  The CES Coordinator will provide oversight of the 24-hour staff and provide support with leading groups, activities and ongoing weekly supervision.  The CES Coordinator will be available to support staff with shift coverage for callouts and respond to any staffing coverage emergencies while supervising the 24-hour frontline staff at NDNH. The CES Coordinator will support the House Manager and Victim Advocates with resident basic and immediate needs, intakes, discharges and addressing incidents as needed. The CES Coordinator will meet with the House Manager regularly to develop the weekly team meeting agenda, discuss any program changes, and receive weekly supervision. The CES Coordinator will participate in weekly team meetings and client reviews and lead in a trauma informed manner for NDNH programming and in program development and leadership meetings/ trainings for NDST.  The CES Coordinator will participate in the hotline rotation. This is a grant funded position and relies on the continuation of funding.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior residential, social service, or customer service work experience.
• Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Programs and be proficient in and the ability to utilize the internet.
• Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
