Reporting Relationship: Operations and Development Manager

Salary and Grade: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour; 72 Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

  • Safely transport individuals to and from Salvation Army functions.
  • Conduct a pre-trip/post trip inspection daily.
  • Record any damages or wear in bus journal and report to Supervisor.
  • Report any problems related to the vehicle such as accidents, damage, or passenger difficulties.
  • Maintain/Clean the interior and exterior of vehicles.
  • Participate in drug testing as requested.
  • Do special pick-ups only assigned by supervisor’s instructions.
  • Responsible for notifying Operations Manager of any parts necessary for upkeep of the vehicles.
  • Abide by all applicable driving laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License with good driving record, CDL preferred.
  • At least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
  • Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
