ARC Command Headquarters is seeking a Payroll Accountant to support the ARCC Accountant with various payroll and accounting functions.

Responsibilities

Position responsibilities include maintaining payroll files, entering information into the Paychex and/or UKG system, receiving and maintaining attendance records, auditing eligibility/payment of paid absences, processing payroll.  The Payroll Accountant will process Officer allowance forms for approval, prepare any needed hand checks, maintain file of housekeeping vouchers, review Paychex/UKG reports and W-2’s for accuracy, compute Christmas bonuses, and act as custodian for secondary petty cash fund.  The Payroll Accountant will also be responsible to balance payroll, reconcile Paychex records regarding health and voluntary benefits, and complete quarterly pension remittance forms.  The Payroll Accountant will complete monthly operating bank reconciliation, process monthly and annual mileage logs, approve credit card transactions as directed, attend training conferences as requested and be back up to the ARCC Accountant.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5 years’ experience in payroll/accounting or similar position, have excellent attention to detail, excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and hold a high regard for and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.  Experience with UKG is preferred.
