POSITION SUMMARY
Supports warehouse operations by processing donated goods, operating equipment, and completing donation pickups. Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

 

  • Process unsellable or excess donated goods using baler equipment and maintain consistent productivity
  • Load, unload, and move materials for incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to handle materials safely
  • Receive and sort donations including clothing, household goods, and furniture
  • Work in warehouse or dock areas as assigned based on operational needs
  • Operate a 24-foot truck to pick up donations and assist with loading and securing items
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including proper stacking, use of pallets, and airflow under stored materials
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
  • Provide professional and respectful service to donors and represent the organization appropriately
  • Remove unsellable or damaged items from the sales floor as assigned
  • Perform general warehouse duties and basic outdoor or grounds work as needed
  • Follow all store and organizational procedures

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Related warehouse, retail, or driving experience preferred

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to operate or obtain forklift certification within 90 days
  • Ability to operate baler equipment
  • Ability to lift and move donated goods, including furniture
