The Salvation Army’s South End Corps., is hiring a Custodian and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 1500 Washington Street, Boston, MA

Hours/week: 25 hours per week

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.30 - $21.00 per hour

*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

Maintain a clean building sanitizing, cleaning offices, rest room, officers, classrooms, kitchen, lunchroom and gymnasium

Duties & Responsibilities:

Complete the following tasks in the Game Room, Bathrooms, Offices, Basement, Gym, hallways and Chapel:

a) Empty waste containers

b) Sweep/vacuum floor each day and damp mop and wax when needed

c) Replace hand towels and tissue

d) Clean mirrors

e) Setup chairs/tables as requested

f) Monitor areas for routine keep up (windows, light fixtures, etc)

g) Complete other related tasks as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma

Work Experience:

1-2 years work experience in a non-profit preferred

Other Qualifications:

Knowledge of health and sanitation requirements for a public facility

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
