Status:  Full time, Nonexempt

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM. Emergency situation only: must be willing and available to work evenings. 

Function: Provide direct assistance with the day to day Area Services property department operation by performing building and equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, renovations, event set up and clean up, organization of supply areas, and transporting donations.  The Area Services Office located at 966 E. Main St, Columbus, serves as the home base for the position. 

1. High School Diploma
2. Must be safety conscious
3. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English
4. Must be able to represent self and The Salvation Army in a professional manner.
5. Ohio Driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards
6. Must possess the ability to drive a box truck and pass the online Salvation Army Fleet Safety Driver's Test.
7. Must demonstrate a level of competence in property upkeep, equipment maintenance, electrical, plumbing, sanitation, grounds keeping, HVAC, painting, carpentry and custodial responsibilities.
8. Must be able to safely operate equipment commonly or occasionally used including movers, tractors and buffing machines.
9. Must possess a flexible attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work unsupervised.
