The Corps Assistant is responsible for providing overall support to the Perth Amboy Corps. This includes, but is not limited to, programmatic and administrative support.
Responsibilities
Welcome and assist community members and clients with scheduling appointments.
Assist Corps Officers in tracking, filing, and processing documents related to programs, grants, and general operational needs.
Assist with monitoring and impact tracking of Salvation Army – Perth Amboy social media accounts.
Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of statistical records and reports in applicable databases.
Under the direction of Corps Officers, schedule and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and maintenance companies.
Assist with the planning and coordination of internal and external meetings, as requested by Corps Officers; attend staff and other community meetings where necessary.
Process and code invoices, ensuring accurate and departmental expense tracking.
Assist with administrative needs for seasonal initiatives such as Red Kettle Campaign, Angel Tree, Thanksgiving & Christmas assistance, and backpack distributions.
Other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Bilingual in Engish/Spanish preferred.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail skills.
Awareness and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of populations served.
